PAULA PUGH
Having lived on Whidbey since 1972, Paula has immersed herself in this sweet place of nature, water, animals, trees and quiet. She and her family have had the privilege of boating in these incredible waterways for nearly 50 years. In 2005 she started recording wanderings in a watercolor journal. This practice helped her see the landscape and details in a new way. She never turned back. Travel journals and personal journaling captured her creative spirit. Nearly 30 journals fill her shelves now. Making her own journal books has become a favorite ritual. Recently paper collage birds have made their appearance in her life and taken her in an amazing new direction, using her skill set in unique ways.
