ROBYN MEEHAN

Robyn discovered her passion for fabric and sewing at a very early age and has spent the last fifty years honing her craft and eye for fabric design.  As a collector and lover of textiles, Robyn's extensive collection of fabric has come from her travels in South Africa, Germany, Netherlands and Russia, as well as Hawaii, Canada and Mexico.

When she finds a beautiful piece of fabric, she often sees another creation within the design.  She has no problem cutting that fabric up and sewing it back together into a newly imagined creation of clothing, a quilt, a pillow, a table runner or a unique gift for someone special.

Robyn gets extreme joy from embroidering a child's name on a towel, hand-picking fabric for a pillow case or a child's tooth-fairy pillow.  Through the years, Robyn has made customized kimonos, dresses, quilts, quillows, holiday items, baby blankets, aprons, pet wedding dresses and numerous other special requests from her friends and clients.  Robyn, who has lived on Whidbey Island since 1998, has created decorative designs for yacht interiors, summer retreats, local wineries and numerous organizations on the island.  Robyn Meehan is to fabric creations what Stickley was to furniture design.
