Once again, fair is really early folks! On the upside, it's really close to the annual July picnic, so members can bring their entries to the party rather than drive down to the fairgrounds on the 14th. Here's how the dates fall for 2018:
The magic fair bin will be available at the May & June guild meetings and the July guild picnic. If you have a meeting or study group or you just need a personal visit from the Magic Fair Bin, please don't hesitate to call. :-) And of course, if you have any questions, need help with online entry or with the Magic Fair Form, call/text or email me. - Turn in Day: Sunday, July 15th 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm NOTE: SUNDAY NOT SATURDAY!
- Judging Monday, July 16th 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Setup Day: Tuesday, July 17th 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (or until we finish!)
- Fair Days: Thursday through Sunday, July 19th - 22nd 9:30 am - 9:30 pm (volunteer hours, gate hours may differ)
- Group Opportunities
- Fair Handwork Circle: Knitting, crocheting, embroidery, piecework, braiding, tatting, bobbin lace...if you use your hands to create or embellish a textile, pack up your projects and create with us in the Malone Building! Watch this page for details to come!
- Fair Spinning Bee: Can there be too many opportunities to spin? (No.) Pack up your wheel or spindle, and come join us for a Fair Spinning Bee in the Malone Building! Watch this page for details to come!
- Group Opportunities
- Pickup Day: Monday, July 23rd **PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO FAIR OFFICE POLICY, YOU CANNOT PICK UP YOUR ITEMS UNTIL MONDAY!**
- Premium Money is available for pickup at specific days and hours during the fair. 2018 times are not available yet, but in 2017 the premium office was open on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm. If you choose to donate your premium money to the WWG Fair budget, this does not affect you.
